I am so glad that we finally did Infant Aquatics. For years we have tried to teach my son to swim. He has ADHD and some sensitivity issues and getting him to put his head underwater was a real struggle. We tried group and private lessons at other places and eventually I gave up because it was so traumatic for both of us. But, now he is 11 and it was becoming a safety and a fun issue. All of his friends could swim and he was really missing out. Not mention that fear that I had every time he went swimming. We also have an 8 year old daughter who also didn’t learn to swim because of the experience I had with my son.
Infant Aquatics was amazing and the instructors Hanneke and Kyla were incredible. I know that they are used to working with much younger kids so I wasn’t sure how it was going to go, but it was fantastic. The instructors knew how to push them when it was appropriate. They had fun ways to encourage and teach the kids how to float and swim. After the 2nd or 3rd lesson, both my kids couldn’t wait to get back in the pool.
By the end of the first week, they were fully swimming from one end of the pool to the other. By the end of 3 weeks they are like little happy fish that are comfortable, safe and having fun in the water.
Watching their confidence improve from one day to the next was a lot of fun. I can’t express my gratitude and excitement for this new skill of theirs. I would highly recommend Infant Aquatics and Hanneke in particular. She was patient and caring and my kiddos love her!
Thank you! You really made a huge difference to both Zach and Merry and I can’t thank you enough.
