Swim with purpose

Swimming is awesome, but first and foremost it’s an important aquatic survival skill. On holiday or close by home: water is everywhere. Geboren Zwemmers feels it’s super important for even the smallest children to know how to self rescue when they fall into the water and how to safely splash and play.

Swim-float-swim

In our Learn to Swim-program, we teach children from the age of 6 months how to self rescue by using the Smart Fish method. We start with breathcontrol and independently rolling on their backs and float in water where they can not stand . Once your child can walk, we practice crossing a greater distance by kicking and rolling. In small groups or individually, we teach children basic swimming skills and work towards obtaining a swimdiploma that meets the Dutch National standard for Swimming Safety.

Our daughter Selom was signed up for the 4 weeks of infant survival training. Now with the training, she floats like it is her second nature! Our continued goal is to get her swimming, and with this base in place, that will happen any week now.
