This is what moves us
Geboren Zwemmers is one of the few Dutch swimming schools to teach self rescue aquatic skills to children as young as six months. Swim-float-swim specialist Hanneke guides you and your child in learning the swim-float-swim skills that are needed to survive a fall in the water. These skills also form the base with which your child learns swimming strokes needed for their swimming diploma.
We feel exactly what your child needs to make progress. For some, the water immediately feels like their comfort zone. Others are more hesitant at first. That is why we make sure your child is taught by the same teacher every time.
Safety first
At Geboren Zwemmers, safety comes first! We teach your child to be safe in and around the water. To do so, we commit to high quality standards and provide a safe learning environment. To guarantee safety and quality, we follow clinics and ongoing online training courses on a regular basis.
Classes are offered in Dutch and English.

Hanneke Deen-van Tol
Hanneke knows exactly when her fascination with the swim-float-swim method started. “I saw this video of a kid, in a blue suit, wandering through the back yard. It fell into the water and I instantly held my breath. But this child, not even 2 years old, turned on his back and started to float!” She explored the American swim-float-swim method the child used to survive and took an intensive instructor training at Infant Aquatics in Longmont, Colorado. She also took several intensive training courses at Watersafe Swim School. Geboren Zwemmers is a certified Smart Fish Facility.
She now has been at the helm of her own swimming school, Geboren Zwemmers, since 2013. Hanneke teaches children to feel safe and secure in the water.
The skill, patience and ease with which Hanneke teaches these children, is amazing. All kids love her!
